my yarn book.
A project that I occasionally enjoy is altering composition notebooks. I say occasionally, because lately most papercrafts have been leaving me feeling frustrated and incompetent. But I digress…
This weekend, I put the finishing touches on my little yarn notebook:
This book is a place for me to gather all those little slips of very important paper with very important information on them in one convenient place. It’s also a place to log patterns and notes about my projects. Here’s a snapshot of one of my pages:
My plan is to keep a chronological listing of all my yarns by their wrappers, one per page. Then I will have room left over to make notes and log patterns, as you can see here. Pretty darn handy, eh?
Just looking at this book makes me happy! I just love these colors and the look of this patterned paper. I knew it was too intense for me to use on a scrapbook page, so I’m glad that I was able to find a home for it.
If you’re interested in my notes as to how exactly one goes about re-covering a composition book, then be sure to check out my little tutorial on the subject. Enjoy!

I love doing this. My Mom has a book she uses to sketch quilts and I am making her a new notebook (for when the time comes that she needs a new one).
