Little Penny was born at home at 1:09 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17th. She weighed (believe it or not) 9 lbs. 4 oz. and she was 20 inches long. She was my biggest baby so far! Katie was 7 lbs. 13 oz. and Joshua was 8 lbs 11 oz. And Penny is the first one to come anywhere near her due date—just two days after I turned 40 weeks. She really surprised us! We expected that she would take her sweet time, but here she is! And she’s just as precious as can be…

She’s adorable! And what a giant…poor you! Ave is six months on Thursday but, due to her heart condition, is developmentally at about three. We have had a long newborn stage…she is still only 13 lbs…Penny could be that in a couple weeks (ha!).

Congratulations Nicole – Penny is just beautiful. I am so proud of you for having a home delivery. My mom was a certified nurse midwife and, although I didn’t deliver at home, she caught my first son – her first grandson – at our local birthing center. Enjoy the magic. Peace & blessings.

Congratulations! We just had our first grandbaby – Raegan Grace on May 17. She weighed 7 lbs 12 oz. She will be 2 months old tomorrow weighs about 12 lbs. now. Nothing like a sweet baby!

I am so happy to see that someone has named their baby Penelope Joy. My mother named me that on Dec. 23, 1943. I was always called Penny but recently took pEneLopE joY as my artist name. May little Penny have as wonderful a life as I have had.
